Site Policy
1. This site utilizes the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption technology on event application, survey and certain other pages to ensure that the information the user provides won't be used for unauthorized purposes. The site also implements other security measures to prevent illegal access to personal information or the unauthorized disclosure, loss, alteration or corruption of that information.
2. To check the access condition to this site, the site administrator may collect access information from users in general.
3. Carnegie Mellon CyLab Japan complies with the Act concerning Protection of Personal Information (Law No. 57, 2003) and other related laws, ordinances and standards. Carnegie Mellon CyLab Japan will also review and improve its efforts under this Site Policy on a regular basis.

Privacy Policy
1. The personal information collected by this site will not be used for purposes other than those stated on the applicable page.
2. The personal information collected by this site will be shared only with the Hyogo Institute of Information Education Foundation (“the Foundation”), which serves as the administrative body for Carnegie Mellon CyLab Japan and Carnegie Mellon University. Such information won't be disclosed to a third party.
3. Personal information is collected through dedicated pages incorporating effective security measures, only after the purpose of use of the collected information and other necessary information is disclosed to the user. Under no circumstance will personal information be collected by unlawful means.
4. Individuals can ask the Foundation to disclose, correct or delete their personal information as possessed by Carnegie Mellon CyLab Japan. These requests will be handled in accordance with the provisions of the Act concerning Protection of Personal Information.
